Our Story
In the bustling heart of downtown Budapest on Szent István körút, we created Páholy Café as a place worth visiting at any time of day. Alongside our specialty coffees, we offer handmade pastries. For lunch or as a pre-theater bite, we serve soups and sandwiches in a fusion style.

Our coffees are provided by Herz New York roastery—a father and son duo who, whether in Budapest, New York, or El Salvador, are always in pursuit of the finest quality beans. They view specialty coffee roasting as a complex craft and a passion, one that is well worth the effort. At Páholy Café, our baristas and state-of-the-art coffee machine work together to ensure that each carefully sourced and roasted bean delivers its maximum potential in every cup.
Artisan Pastries
Our artisan cakes and pastries are crafted by Zaandra Cake Studio, an innovative cake atelier from Győr, where dessert is more than just sweetness—it's an experience and a celebration. Their work is guided by quality, simplicity, and mindfulness. Every recipe is the result of conscious decisions: they use only ingredients they themselves would gladly consume—never compromising on this principle. Special care is taken to ensure that their gluten-free and vegan cakes offer the same experience as their classic counterparts—crafted with equal care and creativity.
